The War Memorials In Sabah

In Sabah, there are a few war memorials built to to remember the suffering and death of the British, Australian and New Zealand soldiers and other civilians during World War II. Among the well known memorials are the Sandakan Memorial Park, Labuan World War II Cemetery and Memorial and Kundasang War Memorial Park in Ranau. These memorials serve as a reminder to us today of the horror of wars and of the ultimate sacrifices of the men who gave up their life so others could enjoy their freedom. It is hope that we will not forget them, "Lest We Forget". There will usually be some commemorative services held annually at the Sandakan Memorial Park, Labuan World War II Cemetery and Memorial and Kundasang War Memorial Park during the Anzac Day.
